After my last thud of a brick (rather than a loaf) of bread, I went out and bought bread flour & fresh fast rise yeast.
I then loaded the pan with this recipe:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
3 Tbs butter in chunks.
3 cups bread flour
2 Tbs sugar
1 Tbs gluten
1 1/2 Tsp salt
1 3/4 Tsp yeast
Put on the basic cycle, medium crust and …
The little kneading things are in their proper place so I’m not sure why it didn’t knead properly.
Dagnabbit, all I want is a nice loaf of bread!
Time to clean things up and try again.
Next time this peasant bread recipe in the cook book that came with it:
1 cup water
1 1/4 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp yeast
Oh… tsp yeast… I wonder if I misread that as tBs last time… Oops!
